I am always in contact with our customers. I enjoy getting to know their personality, style, hobbies etc. I make suggestions of silhouettes, colors and finishes based on what I know of them. Also, I love to hear back from them once they receive their Adriana Castro bag or accessory. Recently, I received an email from Pamela. When Pamela first contacted me, she was interested in our Ostrich Meissa Hobo but was not sure about the color. After a couple of e-mails back and forth, and learning a little bit about her, I suggested her to order the bag in Mod Blue.

Behind the Scenes: Adriana Castro Interview with Caracol Dia a Dia

On Tuesday, besides doing a live interview with City Tv, I did another one for Caracol. I was invited to the live talk show "Dia a Dia." It was so fun. I really enjoyed the interview because it was very informal. No need to be nervous, it felt like home. The girls in the set were in love with our handbags and accessories. They didn't want me to leave, they were all ordering bags, wallets and belts! Check out some behind the scenes pics. Once the video is up, I will share it with you.

"I adore: Adriana Castro Modish Clutch," says Kourtney Kardashian

I am sure by now you have all seen tons of pictures in the magazines and blogs of beautiful Kourtney Kardashian carrying our Modish Clutch to Khloe's 25th birthday in Vegas. I even posted about this a couple of weeks ago. But what I wanted to share with you in this post is that Kourtney posted about our Modish Clutch in her blog! She titled her post "I adore: Adriana Castro Modish Clutch." Kourtney described my work as timeless and chic. Also, she said that she loved the modern lines and the size of the Modish clutch. IFLS Fashion Show Fittings with Colombia's Top Models

Once again, sorry for my delayed posts. I am still recovering from the jet lag. It's been crazy the past few days. After returning from Turkey, I only spent one day at home in Miami. I am now in Bogota, Colombia preparing an upcoming fashion show. With all the traveling, I forgot to mention that I was invited by ACICAM to open the International Footwear and Leather Show in August 4th. This is such an honor to be opening this event. Yesterday, the fittings for the show took place. I was so excited to see the beautiful Colombian models carrying my bags on the runway. I wanted to share with you pics from yesterday so you can get an idea of how fabulous they looked. They didn't have any makeup and still they look fab! Just imagine how the 16 models will look the day of the runway ;) Noticias Caracol interviewed me and did a clip on the models during the fittings.

A special thank you to stylist and friend Kathy Kopp for putting all the outfits together and to Brazilian designer Juju Costa for providing clothing.

I will be posting more pics soon from my stay in Bogota soon. Lots of exciting things will be happening and I don't want you to miss any moment. I want you to be with me at all times LOL. I will post later (I am so behind with my posts about my trip to Turkey, but I promise they will be up soon), I have to leave for the factory to check that all the pieces that we will be showing on August 4th are PERFECT!

Inspiring Motives by Loren Ridinger Muse Event!

A couple of weeks ago, Loren Ridinger hosted the first - ever Motives by Loren Ridinger Muse event and I was lucky enough to attend! The event was a huge success. All the beauty editors were there; Lucky, Allure, Us Weekly, Marie Claire and more. Loren showed several looks inspired by women that made history with their beauty - Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner and Audrey Hepburn. I was very impressed with the new products they added to the line. Sorry for the delayed posts, but I am still in Turkey. I have visited so many fabulous places and have so many pictures and stories to share with you that I am organizing all the information first before I continue posting about my trip. But these pictures couldn't wait! Take a look at Jennifer Lopez carrying our Python Meissa Hobo in Natural Matte (this is the same exact bag I brought with me for my trip, you will be seeing lots of pics in my upcoming posts). She was spotted leaving her trailer after finishing the first day of filming her new movie "The Back Up Plan" in Tribeca, New York City. 

Visiting the Sultan

This is so relaxing...while I write this post, I am looking at the Meditarrean Sea. I am in Kekova right now (and will definitely post pics of this visit later), but wanted to write about the beautiful places I visited in Istanbul - before I start to get behind!  These pictures that you see here are from the Topkapi Palace, which was the official residency of the Ottoman Sultans for 400 years of their 600-year reign. This place is magical. It contains the most holy relics of the Muslim world. Also, it contains large collections of robes, porcelain, weapons, shields, armor, murals and the most amazing treasures. I was really impressed when I saw the jewelry. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any pictures in this area. But just to give you an idea, the third largest diamond in the world was there. It was beyond spectacular. I loved the designs and combinations they used in the jewelry; turquoise with rubies, emeralds with rubies, pearls with rubies and pearls with turquoises. I took some notes so don't be surprised if a future collection is inspired in these jewels. I still have so many exciting things to share with you....

A Royal Experience

I did not want to go to sleep before sharing with you these pictures that I took today at the Ciragan Palace, the only Ottoman Imperial Palace & Hotel by the Bosphorus here in Istanbul. This place is magical, it offers the ultimate luxury and glamour of a genuine Ottoman Palace. This is definitely a place to get inspiration from for future collections. Merhaba!

I am sure you are wondering why I titled this post "Merhaba" right? Well, I have a little surprise for you...I am posting from Turkey! I learned today that "Merhaba" means "Hello" in Turkish so I wanted to share this word with you. I just arrived yesterday to Istanbul, so I still have lots to see but let me tell you that what I have seen so far is spectacular. Today, I went to Buyukada, the largest of the nine s0-called Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara near Istanbul. I am in love with Istanbul, undoubtedly one of the world's greatest cities. I will be in Turkey for three weeks so I will be posting lots of pictures for you to see. So please come back and share with me your thoughts. If you have been here in Turkey before, please let me know your favorite places...I would love to visit your suggestions.
