Ring In the New Year In Style!

Wow, where did the year go? Just a short while ago, I was lounging around with friends by the pool and then carving a turkey over Thanksgiving with close friends and family. 2011 is just around the corner - about three weeks away! Make sure you’ve made your resolutions for 2011 and ring in the new year looking ultra stylish with these hot fashion pieces!

The little black dress:

The staple for any New Year’ Eve party -- the little black dress, when paired with sparkly accessories, belts, bags and bling will stand-out. This timeless classic only get’s better, the more you accessorize. Remember, when selecting the right little black dress, be sure to choose an age-appropriate dress and also one that fits your frame. Since you’re working with a blank canvas, try different types of accessories; a chunky belt, dangling earrings, an armful of colorful bangles! You can’t go wrong!

Shoes:

I’ll confess, I’m a shoe-a-holic! I’ve got lots of pairs of shoes and never enough time to wear them all!. This New Year’s Eve, you’ll find me wearing colorful booties or sky-high hooks. A number of popular designers come to mind; the most obvious Christian Louboutin. If expensive shoes aren’t your fancy, try Steve Madden or Jessica Simpson.

The 1940’s:

The 1940’s? No, I didn’t forget a number! High-waisted skirts are totally in this New Year’s. In fact, they work for just about any body-type, as they help offset areas where we may look as flattering. Try on a high-waisted skirt and you’ll be surprised at how slimming they can be!

All that glitters:

Sure, when the clock strikes midnight, the air will be filled with glitter and confetti (if you’re at Time Square). Kick-off your New Year’s early by adding glitter to your entire ensemble. A little makeup, some sparkle through your accessories, even your little black dress! Remember, use it in moderation and don’t go too crazy!

By choosing some of these basic pieces and upping your game this New Year’s, you can ensure that you’ll be blinging and ringing in 2011 in style!

Holiday Fashion - All That Glitters is Gold!

Adriana Castro Python Maya Clutch (Spring 2011 Collection). Now Available for Pre - Order 1.866.460.4484.

All That Glitters Is Gold!

Brr…winter is surely shaping up to be a cold one. Just because it’s getting cold though doesn’t mean you have to break-out the drab and frumpy sweaters just to stay warm. This holiday, add a little glitter and fur and you’ll not only stay warm, but look even hotter as you brave sub-par temperatures outside!

Fur

Start with a little fur – faux of course! Capelet jackets, mini fur vests, striped fur vests. Choose one that looks best with your body-type. As far as colors go, choose browns, blacks, even throw in a little gray for good measure. You’ll look classy and trendy at the same time! Fierce!

Jackets

In addition to fur, puffy jackets and knit-sleeved coats are in! Brown, grey and bright white colored materials will be all the rage. Accent these key pieces with fur, and you’ve got a winning combination.

Turtlenecks and high-collars

Normally a boring piece, this season, you’ll see more turtlenecks being worn. Mix and match turtlenecks with funky accessories, to give your turtleneck a bold look. If you’re not interested in wearing a turtleneck, high-collars are in as well. High-collars are great because they’re extremely modern. In addition though, high-collars keep you warm too when it’s cold outside.

Gold and Glitter

Want to really make that turtleneck really pop? Besides adding funky accessories, look to add a little gold to your wardrobe too! This can be done through a dress, sequined shirts and belts!

Trench Coats and Military Jackets

Need an extra layer that will keep you looking stylish and trendy? Break-out a dark-colored jacket in one of these great styles. What’s also great is that these styles will be here to stay for a number of months too!

Skirts and dresses

Keep the rest of your body warm this year with skirts that narrow down to the knee or a pleated dress. Paired with furs and high-collared tops, you cam ensure that you stay warm!

Remember, however you do it, skip the green and red sparkles this year. Throw in some gold, fur, high-collared styled shirts and a fairly lengthy skirt or dress. Together, you’ll look fierce as you brave the elements this winter with a little holiday fashion and still keep warm with a layered look all at the same time!

Happy Holidays!
